I've been wanting to start a personal site for a while. I wanted something simple, fast, and low-maintenance. Something that puts the writing first and doesn't get in the way.
Why Eleventy?
I chose Eleventy because it's refreshingly simple. No client-side JavaScript framework, no build-time React, no database. Just templates, Markdown, and static HTML. It's the kind of tool that gets out of your way and lets you focus on what matters: the content.
